Case study: DVD Production
DVDs for the "Historical Panorama" at the Ladin Museum:
The history of the Ladin people in the Dolomite valleys stretches back more than 2,000 years. Their story is told at the Ladin Museum with video clips (animated scenes, commentary) which can be selected by the visitor. In addition to this, a large-screen video (DVD) projection provides a non-stop summary of the highlights of the media stations.
Tasks:
In cooperation with a Ladin scientist a script was written which makes the complex subject matter understandable to laymen and women. Research into film and photographic material and its acquisition then followed, and questions relating to copyright were cleared up. The organization and recording of the soundtrack in various different countries and four languages (Ladin, Italian, German and English) was a particular challenge.
Animation and graphics (video clips, projection, navigation interfaces), the completion of the video clips (editing, soundtrack, synchronization) and the programming and production of the DVDs were performed in record time, and a finished, maintenance-free product was ready for export.
Specialist fields:
- Supervision of the organization, content and technical realization of the entire project
- Coordination with the organizers of the exhibition
- On-site briefing of the firms supplying the technology

Further selected projects in this field:
To make history come alive so that it interests as many groups as possible (school pupils, tourists etc.). Information in six chapters and four different languages can be selected as desired with an easy-to-use navigation system. The DVD projection serves as a visually appealing "appetizer".
