-----

Design and production of an information CD-ROM for Vienna Airport

Tasks:

As an interactive, multimedia data carrier, the CD-ROM "Facts & Figures" was conceived as an alternative to traditional printed brochures that will appeal to a broad and diverse target group ? from journalists to school pupils/students and visitors/passengers at Vienna Airport. The CD-ROM will also be available in the visitors' centre.

The content was developed in cooperation with Vienna Airport's communications department. The aim was to present general information on the CD-ROM that will remain relevant for some time to come. For more detailed information a link to the airport's website is provided.

Solutions:

Twelve chapters (Vienna International Airport, Services & amenities, Creating jobs, driving turnover, producing results, Traffic trends, Fast, efficient an precise, Cargo traffic, An "airport within an airport", Travelling safely, The airport, New facilities for more passengers, Vienna Airport, A guarantor of solid results), each preceded by an intro/trailer, present basic information on Vienna Airport in a clearly laid-out and easy-to-understand way. In addition, more problematic topics such as the environment and security are dealt with. For more detailed information that is subject to change, a link takes users automatically to the airport's website, which is constantly updated by means of a content management system. All the information on the CD-ROM is available in both English and German.

A comprehensive research tool enables users to find facts and figures on the history, development and current situation of Vienna Airport. With a notepad function, any facts of special interest and relevance can be selected and collected. These compiled notes can then be either printed out or stored in the memory. In a special media library a large number of photos, texts and videos are available for downloading.

The CD-ROM is accompanied by a 14-page glossy booklet in digipack format.
