Conception and implementation of the exhibition content 2019
The Bad Schönau spa community built the "Sconarium" for 2.8 million euros, a modern visitor and event centre dedicated entirely
to the subject of therapy and natural carbon dioxide gas. The company Handler Bau with its project partners Atelier Mauch
and checkpointmedia was commissioned to build and implement the sconarium following a call for tenders.
checkpointmedia creates
100 new media stations for the sections "Nature and Knowledge" , "Heavy Industry" , "Musical Instruments" , "Energy and Transport"
and also sets up the museum's media infrastructure.
checkpointmedia
has designed and produced a "volcano pump" for the refurbished Geology Room at the Museum of Natural History Vienna, which
was opened in 2009.
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds is among the most popular
tourist spots in Austria. As part of the redevelopment of the Chambers of Wonder in 2007, additional highly appealing attractions
were conceptualised and installed, which work with spatial scenarios and striking multimedia elements.
The audio-visual installations in the Mozarthaus are inspired
by media techniques and "wonder worlds" from Mozart's time: the installation on the topic of “Figaro” combines the principle
of old puzzle dice games with modern aesthetics and video technology. The grand finale is the multimedia homage to Mozart's
opera "The Magic Flute": a stage set made of scenery, projections and lighting effects showing a short version of "The Magic
Flute" as virtual "mirror opera" from 1791 until the present day.
checkpointmedia creates the "kraft.raum"
(power.space) in which video and sound impressions on eight different themes related to Illwerke are presented.
With "Crystaloscope", a meditation room has been created
in which the audio-visual scenario provides a counterpoint to other attractions in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
The multimedia installations produced by checkpointmedia
for the Red Bull "high-tech entertainment area", reflect the fact that the building has multiple uses.
Top-quality presentation technology
with a multi-purpose stage, a programmed sound and lighting system and an audio visual installation that plays around the
baroque architecture to striking effect.
checkpointmedia produces the audio
images and the atmospheric sound collage. They also plan and implement the sound and control systems of the entire multimedia
scenario.
The Lower Austrian
Provincial Exhibition “Mystical Waldviertel” in Ottenstein
and Waldreichs in 2001 made use of a large number of interactive media stations.
