Mozarthaus Vienna

The audio-visual installations in the Mozarthaus are inspired by media techniques and "wonder worlds" from Mozart's time: the installation on the topic of “Figaro” combines the principle of old puzzle dice games with modern aesthetics and video technology. The grand finale is the multimedia homage to Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute": a stage set made of scenery, projections and lighting effects showing a short version of "The Magic Flute" as virtual "mirror opera" from 1791 until the present day.

For the exhibition "Archbishop Paris Lodron (1619-1653), Statesman between War and Peace", checkpointmedia designed and installed a complex projection installation and an information display for the entrance hall of the Salzburg Dommuseum.

Mozart‘s "Waltz Dice Game"

Two special tables recognize melodies determined by the dice games being played on their surfaces by visitors: there are over 1.2 million possible melodies. A projection shows the visitors what they have "composed": both sound and image appear in real time.
