The official opening of the thermal recycling plant of Zwentendorf/Dürnrohr (AVN) was marked by a ceremony in St. Pölten Festival Hall in 2004.
A special feature of the ceremony was the fact that it looked as if the recycling plant was actually being “switched on” during the opening ceremony itself, although in actual fact the plant was miles away. checkpointmedia was responsible for staging this special effect: when, at the critical moment, the Governor of Lower Austria threw the "switch" on the stage, the entire auditorium was transformed into a factory exploding with light, animation and projections.
