Centropa is an international research project dealing with "Jewish Life in Central and Eastern Europe", which was initiated by the American photo-journalist Edward Serotta. checkpointmedia is developing a comprehensive online archive with text and photo documentation that is being compiled by Centropa staff all over central and eastern Europe in the course of individual interviews. This extension phase focuses particularly on upgrading the functionality of the Centropa database. Much of the content is being updated and the design modified to meet the new requirements.
