With the “horse machine” (Hippolab) it becomes possible to watch evolution as it happens. The development of the horse is shown in four stages using animated sequences. By turning control knobs, visitors themselves can activate the evolutionary transition from little primeval horse to the modern animal. Gradually as time passes, the shape, size, habitat, food and geographic distribution of the horses all change.
