The Künstlerhaus Experience App offers a virtual time travel experience through 160 years of the Vienna Künstlerhaus’ history. Historical photos, documents, plans, and archived materials are digitally processed and integrated into the spaces of the Künstlerhaus and its surroundings using augmented reality.

Virtual overlays showcase past facade designs and spatial details in a new context. Inside, cultural and historical topics such as the story of the famous "Gschnas" parties, historical costume designs, and past exhibitions are vividly brought to life. The app seamlessly blends historical and contemporary content into an immersive experience.

The project combines technological innovation with the aim of preserving cultural heritage sustainably and making it accessible to a broad audience. The Künstlerhaus Experience App is available for iOS and Android devices.

The project was implemented as part of the "Digital Cultural Heritage" funding program.
