The project initiators are Gerald Bast, rector of the University of Applied Arts, along with Elias Carayannis and David Campbell.

Besides the initiators and their aims, the website presents the series of books that carries the same name. The volumes will be published at regular intervals by Springer Verlag. In addition, the website shows current activities relating to the A.R.I.S. project such as book presentations and includes a blog with which the site can also be used as a platform for discussions on the subject.
