checkpointmedia completely redesigned Virgil Widrich’s website (widrichfilm.com) – live since 1 July 2026. After many years on the JART CMS, we migrated the entire site to the modern, file-based CMS Kirby: over 160 projects, more than 2,500 documented screenings, plus awards and lectures from more than 30 years of work. The new design is minimalist and optimised for mobile devices. All content – from the filmography to the timeline – now lives in open text files: future-proof, versionable and independent of any single vendor.
